Articles that are considered to be of major importance are usually placed on the front page. For example, a cricket score of five wickets or a century would probably be worthy of a front-page news story in the sports section. The front page of a newspaper contains the biggest news stories that are happening in the country it is being circulated in. However, if something really significant happens in another part of the world, that could also make the front page.
In 2014, three Jane Does whose names were changed sued Backpage in federal court, arguing that the website’s adult services sections allowed and encouraged human trafficking and facilitated sex trafficking of minors. The lawsuit claimed that Backpage violated its responsibilities as a publisher by not verifying or editing third-party content and by not taking steps to avoid facilitating prostitution and sex trafficking. A federal judge enjoined the suit, finding that it was preempted by CDA Section 230 and in violation of the First Amendment.
